The TacComm™ Workshop Series
Tactical Communications (TacComm™) is a complete communication system built on military investigation methodology, neuroscience, neurolinguistic programming, and applied psychology. Ten workshops. One integrated framework. The same techniques trained investigators use when the answer and the outcome both matter.
Most communication training teaches people what to say. TacComm™ teaches how communication actually works: what drives behavior, why people say what they say, and how to influence outcomes without winning a word battle. The series draws from four disciplines that rarely appear in the same room together.
The techniques trained investigators use to build trust quickly, read what people hold back, and guide conversations toward the truth in high-stakes environments.
How the brain processes information, makes decisions, manages conflict, and responds under pressure. Applied directly to the communication challenges leaders face every day.
The relationship between language, behavior, and how people experience reality. Used to understand how leaders communicate and how to shift that communication with precision.
Behavioral science applied to real organizational scenarios. Understanding what drives people, what triggers resistance, and how to navigate both without force or manipulation.
Each workshop builds on the skills developed in previous modules. The first two are the foundation. Everything after applies and extends them into more complex communication environments.
Three interconnected techniques, mirroring, labeling, and powerful questioning, that build trust quickly, shift perspectives, and move conversations toward better outcomes without a word battle. The foundation every subsequent module builds on. Participants leave with a tool they apply in their next real conversation.
More than half of every conversation happens without words. This module teaches participants to read non-verbal signals, understand eye accessing cues that reveal how someone is processing information, and use body language intentionally to create resonance or redirect a conversation in real time.
High-pressure decisions degrade when fear, fatigue, or urgency take over. The DECIDE™ model gives leaders a neuroscience-backed six-step framework for making faster, clearer, more aligned decisions even under significant stress. Participants practice the model in live scenario simulation and leave with a common language for high-stakes thinking.
Conflict escalates when the amygdala takes over. Participants learn to recognize the hijack before it happens, interrupt the default impulse, and redirect charged conversations toward clear, constructive resolutions without backing down or escalating further. One of the most-requested sessions in the TacComm™ portfolio.
A structured process for making decisions faster with a team, paired with the tools to set clear expectations, delegate with precision, and hold people accountable without constant follow-up. For leaders who need to spend more time leading and less time doing the work their teams own.
People answer questions to protect themselves or advance their position. This module teaches the investigator's approach to interviewing: how to plan the exploration, stay out of leading traps, and consistently surface the information held just below the first answer, whether the context is hiring, performance, or a workplace matter.
Practical neuroscience techniques leaders apply daily to manage stress, sustain focus, regulate emotional responses, and show up in peak cognitive condition. Built on the same brain science underlying the full TacComm™ series, applied specifically to the demands of day-to-day leadership.
Every significant conversation is a negotiation. Participants build a complete system: negotiator's mindset, pre-negotiation planning, cultural and emotional intelligence, and creative flexibility in the moment. Draws directly on the rapport, influence, and conflict skills developed across prior TacComm™ modules.
Built on AGL's Leadership Acceleration™ methodology, this module teaches participants to recognize the mental files that limit what they believe is possible, disrupt those patterns deliberately, and generate breakthrough thinking anchored in real organizational priorities. Participants leave with a defined commitment and structured execution plan.
Translates possibility thinking into aligned strategic execution. Leadership teams define their organization's "what if" future, shape strategic priorities using the TacComm™ X Matrix, assign leadership ownership, and build execution-ready plans with clear timelines and measures. Designed for leadership teams ready to move from strategy to committed action.
The TacComm™ series runs in-person, virtually, or in a hybrid format. Individual modules stand alone or run sequentially as a structured communication curriculum.
Individual workshops delivered as single sessions. Works well for organizations targeting a specific communication gap or integrating TacComm™ into an existing development program. Each module is self-contained while designed to build on what came before.
All ten modules delivered over a structured timeline, typically as a recurring series across several months. Participants build skills progressively, each session reinforcing and applying what the previous sessions developed. The most common delivery model for leadership teams running the full curriculum.
AGL selects and sequences modules based on your organization's specific challenges, leadership level, and development priorities. In-person, virtual, or hybrid. Half-day through full-day formats. Can be integrated into a broader leadership academy or run as a standalone communication track.
TacComm is AGL's Tactical Communications workshop series, a high-impact program that trains leaders on the communication frameworks developed and field-tested in military special operations. The principle is direct: clear, structured communication under pressure produces better outcomes in any environment.
TacComm is designed for leadership teams that need to communicate more effectively in high-stakes, fast-moving environments, including C-suite teams, sales teams, operations teams, and anyone navigating change or crisis.
TacComm draws on communication frameworks adapted from military operations for organizational leaders. The program covers situation briefing, intent-based communication, decision cycles, and feedback under pressure, all grounded in neuroscience research.
TacComm is delivered as a full-day or two-day workshop, in person or in a virtual format adapted for distributed teams. The program is highly experiential, participants practice frameworks in real scenarios, not just study them.
Yes. AGL customizes TacComm to the organization's industry, culture, and the specific communication challenges the team faces. No two TacComm sessions run the same way.
Tell us about your team and your objectives. We'll design the right configuration for your context. TacComm has been delivered in Houston, across North America, and in 90+ countries worldwide.
